Privacy policy
How Pagic handles information in the extension, on this website, and when you use optional services.
Last updated: 31 October 2026
The short version
Pagic saves your customizations in your browser. It does not upload your presets to a Pagic server or run advertising or analytics inside the extension. Optional AI requests go directly to the provider you choose. Pro license checks go directly to Polar.
Pagic and pagic.dev are operated by Kanstantsin Suvorau, who is responsible for the information handled by Pagic under this policy. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@pagic.dev.
Information stored on your device
Pagic uses local extension storage for site names and page rules, presets, colors, hidden elements, rewritten text, notes, drawings, pictures, uploaded fonts, settings, trial status, and Pro license details. It can list your installed fonts so you can choose one. Pagic does not send that font list to its developer.
Reader processes the page you open locally. Pagic reads and changes page content to provide the tools you use. Persistent customization requires permission for the specific site; clicking the toolbar icon or Reader shortcut also gives temporary access to the current tab.
AI keys are saved in local extension storage, not a separate encrypted vault. Anyone with sufficient access to your computer or browser profile may be able to access that storage. Pagic does not use Chrome Storage Sync to upload it to your Google account.
Exports contain presets and their pictures and fonts. If you export and share a file, the recipient can read that content. API keys and Pro license keys are not included in preset exports.
Optional AI through Anthropic or OpenAI
AI is optional and uses your own provider account and API key. When you save a key, open its settings, switch to an already configured provider, or refresh the model list, Pagic may contact that provider to list the models available to your key. These model-list requests do not include the page outline or a screenshot.
When you submit an AI request, Pagic sends your prompt, a page outline containing text, element descriptions and layout information, and the current AI conversation directly to your selected provider: Anthropic for Claude or OpenAI. Follow-up tool calls can inspect more page content needed for the request.
Screenshots are off by default for new setups. If you enable them, an image of the visible tab is also sent with requests. Existing saved choices are preserved. Page text and screenshots can contain personal or sensitive information, including information shown while signed in to a website. Only use AI on content you intend to share with the provider.
Your key is transmitted only to its provider for authentication. The provider also receives ordinary network information such as your IP address. Provider charges are separate from Pagic Pro. Pagic's developer does not receive your AI requests or keys through this connection.
The provider's terms, retention practices and account controls apply to information you send it. See Anthropic's privacy policy and OpenAI's privacy policy. Pagic does not promise that a provider retains no information.
Purchases and license checks through Polar
Polar is the merchant of record for Pro purchases. Checkout and the customer portal are hosted by Polar. Polar and its payment providers handle payment details, billing information, receipts, subscriptions and refunds under Polar's privacy policy. Pagic's extension does not collect card numbers.
To activate, validate or deactivate Pro, the extension sends Polar your license key, the product's organization identifier, an activation identifier when applicable, and a browser label such as "Pagic on macOS" when activating. Polar also receives ordinary network information. Checks can occur on browser startup and when opening Pro, at most once a day unless you explicitly trigger a check or activation.
As the product supplier, we can access order and customer details made available by Polar, such as your email address, purchases and license status, to deliver Pro, resolve billing or support requests, and meet accounting or legal obligations. Your customized pages and AI prompts are not part of license checks.
Website visits and support
pagic.dev is served through GitHub Pages. Its hosting and delivery providers process technical request information, including IP addresses, to deliver and secure the site. See GitHub's privacy statement.
We use Umami website analytics, hosted on our Railway instance at reactive-analytics.up.railway.app, to understand visits and improve pagic.dev. It records page views, referrers, browser language, screen dimensions, approximate location and browser/device information derived by the analytics service, and clicks on the install button. Our analytics hosting provider receives network information such as IP addresses to deliver the script and process requests.
The tracker does not use tracking cookies. We do not send names, email addresses, form contents, API keys, license keys or extension activity as analytics event properties, and we do not enable session replay, screenshots, cross-site identity tracking or advertising features. URL query strings and fragments are excluded from analytics URLs and referrers. Tracking runs only on pagic.dev and www.pagic.dev, and is skipped when your browser exposes an enabled Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Browser blockers may also prevent it.
We use these website statistics to understand interest in Pagic and improve its pages, based on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the website where applicable. For privacy questions or objections to analytics processing, contact support@pagic.dev. Analytics reports are retained on our analytics service for site measurement; hosting logs follow the provider's policies. See Umami documentation and Railway's privacy policy.
The site's fonts and artwork are served with the site. Following an external link, including a checkout link, connects you to that service under its own policies.
If you email support, we receive your email address, message, attachments and related correspondence through our email service. We use that information to respond and resolve your request. Please omit API keys, full license keys and private page content unless specifically needed.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to provide the features you request, deliver and verify Pro, respond to support, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell extension user data, use it for personalized advertising, or transfer it for purposes unrelated to these features.
Pagic's use and transfer of information received through Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Human access is limited to information you choose to provide for support or other access permitted by that policy, such as security or legal requirements.
Where applicable, processing is based on providing the service or purchase you request, your choice to enable optional AI transfers, legitimate interests in support and security, or legal obligations. Hosting, email, payment and AI providers may process information outside your country, under their applicable terms and safeguards.
Retention, deletion and your choices
Local customizations remain until you delete them or remove the extension. Unused picture and font assets are cleaned up on browser startup. You can export presets, delete a site's presets, revoke site access in the browser, remove each AI provider's key in Manage presets, or uninstall Pagic to remove its local extension data. Removing a saved key does not revoke it at the provider; use the provider's dashboard for that.
Removing a license or uninstalling Pagic does not cancel a subscription or erase records held by Polar or an AI provider. Use the Polar customer portal to manage subscriptions. Copies of exports or backups you made remain wherever you saved them.
Support and purchase records are retained only as needed to provide support, maintain required business records, resolve disputes or comply with law. Provider-held records follow the relevant provider's retention policy.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to your data protection authority. Contact support@pagic.dev to exercise rights concerning information we hold. We may need to verify your request, and legally required records may need to be retained. We cannot retrieve your local-only presets from a server.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its date if Pagic's practices change. Material new uses of information will be disclosed before they take effect, with consent where required.
